Part Time Office Manager/Communication Coordinator – St. Paul’s United Church

St. Paul’s United Church requires a part-time Office Manager/Communication Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing secretarial, receptionist, bookkeeping and payroll duties. This will include record keeping, managing rental bookings, St. Paul’s website and Facebook page, supporting the work of ministerial staff and church committees, and coordinating communications and marketing.

• An understanding of and commitment to the mission of St. Paul’s United Church
• A college diploma or appropriate work-related experience in office management and accounting skills
• A working knowledge of, but not limited to, the Microsoft Suite and current social media applications including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Mail Chip
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn ChurchWatch software
• Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work effectively and positively with staff, members of the congregation, and the public
• Prior work/volunteer experience in a church environment would be an asset
• A recent Police Records Check

Work Conditions:
• This is a part-time position based on 20 hours a week with salary paid semi-monthly. Hours of work are Tuesday-Friday, 9:00am – 2pm

The purpose of the Joan Gothard Christian Studies Bursary Fund is to financially assist candidates for Order of Ministry (Ordained or Diaconal) and persons in the Designated Lay Ministry Program, to qualify for leadership in the United Church of Canada.

Interested in sound systems and audio visual technology?  Here’s an opportunity to learn “on the job”.images
The Worship Committee would like to have a small team trained in the use of the sound system and other technology used in our sanctuary.   Team members need not be regular church attenders if they are willing to come on occasional Sunday mornings to be responsible for the sound system.  A training session(s) will be provided and a reference manual developed.
